How to request deletion of your data from DueTick

Your Right to Data Deletion

At DueTick, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your data at any time. This page explains how to delete your data depending on your relationship with DueTick.

For Business Owners (DueTick Users)

If you are a business owner with a DueTick account, you can delete your data in the following ways:

Option 1: Delete Your Account (Self-Service)

  1. Log in to your DueTick account
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll down to Delete Account
  4. Click the delete button and confirm your decision

This will permanently delete your account and all associated data, including your business profile, member/customer data, payment history, and message logs.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

Send an email to support@duetick.app with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Your business name (as registered in DueTick)
  • Confirmation that you want all your data deleted

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is removed:

  • Your account information (name, email, phone number, password)
  • Your business profile
  • All member/customer records you added
  • Payment history and records
  • Message logs and delivery records
  • WhatsApp configuration (if connected)
  • Subscription and billing information

For Customers (Recipients of Payment Reminders)

If you have been receiving WhatsApp payment reminders from a business using DueTick and want your data deleted, you have two options:

Option 1: Contact the Business Directly (Recommended)

The business that added you to DueTick is the data controller for your information. Contact them directly to request that they remove your information from their DueTick account. They can pause or delete your record, which will stop all reminders and remove your data.

Option 2: Contact DueTick Support

If you cannot reach the business or prefer to contact us directly, send an email to support@duetick.app with:

  • Subject line: "Customer Data Deletion Request"
  • Your phone number (the one receiving reminders)
  • The business name (if known) that has been sending you reminders
  • A request to delete your information

We will locate your data and either delete it or contact the business on your behalf.

Processing Time

  • Self-service deletion: Immediate (within minutes)
  • Email requests: Within 7 business days
  • Complete removal from backups: Within 90 days

You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

Data Retention After Deletion

After you request deletion:

  • Your data is removed from our active systems immediately
  • Automated backups containing your data are purged within 90 days
  • We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you
  • We may retain data required for legal compliance or dispute resolution

WhatsApp Data

DueTick uses Meta's WhatsApp Business Cloud API to send messages. Please note:

  • Message content delivered to WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp's data retention policies
  • Deleting your data from DueTick does not delete messages already sent to WhatsApp
  • To delete messages from WhatsApp, use WhatsApp's built-in delete functionality on your device
  • For WhatsApp-specific data concerns, refer to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy

Facebook/Meta Data Deletion Callback

If you connected your WhatsApp Business account through Facebook Login, you can also request data deletion through Facebook:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings
  2. Navigate to Apps and Websites
  3. Find DueTick and remove it
  4. This will trigger a data deletion request to DueTick

We process all Facebook data deletion callbacks and will remove your data within 7 days of receiving the request.
